We are a family business operated by owners Werner and Elena Obermeier since 1996. Based in Adelaide, we offer the best in Aboriginal art and source our paintings directly from the artists.

Boomerang Art showcases fine aboriginal art from across Australia. We work with Australia’s greatest living Aboriginal artists, Kathleen and Gloria Petyarre, Barbara Weir and others like the Pwerle sisters Galya, Emily and Molly - all three in their mid to late eighties. Regular visitors in our studio are Walala and Mitjili, Maureen Hudson, Napurla Scobie, Lilly Kelly and in particular some of the very talented and exciting young Indigenous artists like Abie Loy Kemarre.

Our  Fine Art Collection contains many contemporary and traditional paintings from indigenous artists who passed away already like Minnie Pwerle and Barney Campbell. To enrich this Aboriginal art collection even further we travel regularly to Aboriginal communities on a constant search for new talent and new exciting artworks.

Boomerang Art established its Aboriginal Fine Art Gallery in Adelaide’s seaside suburb of Glenelg, 10 minutes from the Adelaide Airport and a short taxi ride of 20 minutes from the Adelaide City Centre in 1996. This gallery is open 7 days from 9 a.m. till late by prior appointment. We do however have some limited regular opening times as well, Wednesday to Sunday between 10.00 a.m. and 01.00 p.m. There are more than 150 original contemporary and traditional paintings on display at any time.

Boomerang Art’s website is comprehensive and we endeavour to extend it further over time. All paintings are available unless marked sold. A certificate of authenticity is provided for each painting and safe worldwide delivery can be arranged at cost.

Boomerang Art is a member of the Australian Indigenous Art Trade Association committed to fair trade.

We guarantee the authenticity of all artwork and supply a certificate for each painting.

Purchase of paintings:

Australian Sales: All prices for sales in Australia are in Australian Dollars and include GST. All quotes provided are valid for two weeks only.

Export Sales - Overseas Customers: Overseas customers may select their preferred currency -USD, GBP or EURO. Prices displayed in other currencies are export prices and do not include the Australian Goods and Services Tax.

We invoice and process any payments via credit card or otherwise in Australian Dollars based on the daily exchange rate.

As soon as we receive your order we secure the painting(s) and get them ready for dispatch. All paintings (except for sand paintings) will be shipped rolled in a tube.

We do not place paintings on hold.

Shipping:
We use DHL or Australia Post for overseas deliveries and Australian Air Express or TNT for deliveries within Australia. Customers may be able to track the shipment by following the courier's link. Custom charges may be levied when goods arrive at overseas destinations. Those charges are the responsibility of customers.
