We are a family business operated by owners Werner and Elena Obermeier since 1996. Based in Adelaide and Alice Springs, we offer the best in Aboriginal art and source our paintings directly from the artists.

Most Aboriginal artists who paint for us have done so for many years and we have developed a close mutually beneficial relationship. Our upcoming artists know us since they were little kids watching their late parents and grandparents like Emily Kame, Ada Bird, Minnie Pwerle and others who created art works found in major galleries and museums around the world.

Gloria and Violet Petyarre, Emily, Galya and Molly Pwerle, Barbara Weir, Kathleen Petyarre, Abie Loy, Colleen Wallace, Nancy Petyarre and Lindsay Bird are our main artists. They have no art centre available for support but rely fully on commercial operators like us to buy their paintings and for promotion. They have no community art centre since there is none on their land and the ones that existed on and off in the past have had operational problems and closed their doors years ago.

We guarantee the authenticity of all artwork and supply a certificate for each painting.

Purchase of paintings:

Australian Sales: All prices for sales in Australia are in Australian Dollars and include GST. All quotes provided are valid for two weeks only.

Export Sales - Overseas Customers: Overseas customers may select their preferred currency -USD, GBP or EURO. Prices displayed in other currencies are export prices and do not include the Australian Goods and Services Tax.

We invoice and process any payments via credit card or otherwise in Australian Dollars based on the daily exchange rate.

As soon as we receive your order we secure the painting(s) and get them ready for dispatch. All paintings (except for sand paintings) will be shipped rolled in a tube.

We do not place paintings on hold.

Shipping:
We use DHL or Australia Post for overseas deliveries and Australian Air Express or TNT for deliveries within Australia. Customers may be able to track the shipment by following the courier's link. Custom charges may be levied when goods arrive at overseas destinations. Those charges are the responsibility of customers.

Galleries, individuals or organizations wanting to purchase a larger quantity of artwork are invited to discuss their requirements with Werner at art@boomerangart.com.au.
