In this painting Galya draws on the Dreamings and designs of Awely Atnwengerrp over which she, along with her sisters, have authority - anemangkerr, the bush tomato and atwakey, the wild desert orange.

Using a layering technique, Galya has overlaid body designs depicted in linear form and the circular motif of the ceremonial ground with a visually dynamic burst of colour representing the seeds of anemangkerr and atwakeye.

Displaying a distinctly sophisticated sense of design and colour Galya has created an energetic and vibrant representation of her Dreaming, country and traditional lifestyle.

Galya Pwerle's story is told in a brief essay by Elizabeth Fortescue in a 120 page illustrated publication called "Art of Utopia". In this publication Elizabeth tells the story of the Aboriginal artist and her family in short essays. It also shows a range of images of paintings by the artists. The book is supplied with each painting by Barbara Weir, Minnie, Galya, Emily and Molly Pwerle as well as Teresa Purla.
